Helpful Information
Billing & Insurance
Treehouse Pediatric Therapy is a private pay facility. We do not accept insurance as payment for services.
We will email you an itemized monthly receipt at the end of the month called a “superbill” which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. If you are interested in pursuing reimbursement, we recommend reaching out to your insurance company to find out if you have out-of-network coverage for therapy services.

We are a private pay facility. We do not accept insurance as payment for services; however, after payment has been made, we will email you an itemized monthly receipt that you can submit to your insurance company.
-
If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify your therapist(s) immediately. If you do not notify your therapist(s) via phone or email of a cancellation 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment, it will be considered a “no-show.” If a “no-show” occurs, you will be billed $60 for a missed therapy session and $65 per hour for a missed off-site session.
We ask that you please notify your therapist as soon as you know that your child is ill or that there is a family emergency. Therapy services can be terminated at the discretion of the therapist. A more detailed attendance and no-show policy will be shared with you prior to beginning services.
-
Most families prefer to be billed at the end of each month for the month's appointments. Invoices are sent electronically and can be paid online. Parents can also pay by check or have a credit card put on file, if they prefer.
-
Services are primarily provided at our outpatient clinic. In addition we have relationships with some area private preschools and lower schools to provide therapy at school. We provide home-based treatment through Early intervention.
-
An evaluation or consultation is required when a child begins therapy unless they have recently received an evaluation elsewhere and that evaluation is shared and is comprehensive.
-
A referral is only required for physical therapy.
-
Most children are seen weekly for therapy. There are occasions where a child may be seen every other week, monthly, or as needed.
-
Parents and therapists may decide together whether having the parent sit in or out works best for the child and their needs. If a family is not present for the session, the therapist will typically briefly discuss what was addressed in therapy at the end of the session and may provide suggestions for carryover at home. Some parents and therapists set up separate phone calls to discuss specific strategies that the therapist recommends.
-
Parent must be present with their children in the waiting room until their therapist comes to get the child. Parents may leave during the session but must provide a phone number where they can be reached and must be available to the phone. Parents must return to the clinic at least ten minutes prior to the end of the sessions.
