Skills & Qualifications

At Treehouse Pediatric Therapy, we pride ourselves on delivering playful, evidence-based, and collaborative therapy services in the Richmond, VA area. You might be a good fit for our team if you meet the following qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in pediatrics

  • Current license to practice in Virginia

  • Must maintain professional liability insurance

  • SLPs: Preferred candidates with experience in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Apraxia of Speech, feeding, and pragmatic/social/play skills

  • OTs: Preferred candidates with experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Emotional Regulation, social/play skills, and developmental motor skills

Responsibilities

Therapists are responsible for evaluating and treating children at our clinic as well as in local schools, homes, and community settings. You will be expected to:

  • Contact parents to schedule the initial evaluation/consultation

  • Conduct standardized testing and make clinical observations

  • Communicate your evaluation findings to parents and share a treatment plan

  • Maintain daily therapy session notes and a weekly billing sheet

  • Collaborate with all members of your client’s care team
