Skills & Qualifications
At Treehouse Pediatric Therapy, we pride ourselves on delivering playful, evidence-based, and collaborative therapy services in the Richmond, VA area. You might be a good fit for our team if you meet the following qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience in pediatrics
Current license to practice in Virginia
Must maintain professional liability insurance
SLPs: Preferred candidates with experience in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Apraxia of Speech, feeding, and pragmatic/social/play skills
OTs: Preferred candidates with experience in the areas
Responsibilities
Therapists are responsible for evaluating and treating children at our clinic as well as in local schools, homes, and community settings. You will be expected to:
Contact parents to schedule the initial evaluation/consultation
Conduct standardized testing and make clinical observations
Communicate your evaluation findings to parents and share a treatment plan
Maintain daily therapy session notes and a weekly billing sheet
Collaborate with all members of your client’s care team

We are a multidisciplinary team of skilled and supportive therapists who provide high-quality, play-based therapy to the children we serve.

Our therapists are independent contractors who make their own schedules. Your caseload will be a reflection of your own interests and needs.

Therapists are paid per treatment session. We do compensate for no-shows or cancellations made with less than 24-hours notice.

Therapists are responsible for conducting an initial evaluation, including standardized assessments and clinical observations. Therapists are expected to keep “daily notes” for each treatment session. Therapists are also responsible for maintaining a weekly billing sheet.

When treating in the outpatient clinic, you may co-treat with other therapists and children when appropriate. We have a team of supportive and collaborative therapists who enjoy sharing ideas. If you are working in a preschool/school or community setting, you would likely be working with the child’s teachers or parents.
